One night, He said, “give me your brokenness”. Two weeks or so later, God showed me a cracked vase, and said: “let me fill it”. Then he showed me His love sealing the cracks in the vase. I pondered about what He meant because it came to me in increments over time. But I get it now. We are all his vessels. His vessels who have been sold, given away, repackaged, dropped, chipped, and cracked over time in our lives. Being mishandled, will leave us scared, confused, and cautious of those we let in our space, even God. We push away the only one who is capable of loving us back to a place of wholeness. That’s why, he says to give him the brokenness, yet we don’t because we do not trust him.
