IG ADDICTION

Why , why do I use you to escape? I use you to temporarily escape my pain. My mind wants to search you look you up and down I envy you. Why do you call me? Why does it feel like the whole worlds on you? When will I be alright without staring at you all night. Why does this ease the pain to watch you curse other peoples name? Your used for good and then for bad. I can't truly explain why that's so sad. I have used you to compare my life let me see if were I am is alright. Then I look at you and wish you'd run away you stole my family from me nobody talks and nobody cries just runs and hide in your bed of lies that life is somehow full of glamour we call you IG- Ignorant Glamour.

Most people are on IG because we love to see what each others up to. I honestly felt the pressure of comparison on ig so many times that I had to do a 2 year fast. WOAH I know that's long. But I had to because I just felt like I was not being content with what I brought to the table. Maybe you look up and see somebody just graduated and your like I have 3 years left commmmmmeee on!

Keep scrolling, and there is wedding bells for hours! Not to mention all the new mommy's and perfect people with huge bank accounts!

Look I am not jealous or envious. But I realized I was kinda obsessed with my Instagram. I call is IGNORANT GLAMOR because let's be real.

Ignorant - Lack of knowledge or awareness in general.

Glamour- an attractive or exciting quality that makes certain people or things seem appealing.

People have real lives including me. Everything isn't always smiles, So for every young girl on IG I tell you. Please do not base your life off anybody who's life seems perfect on IG,

When will we use our own mind?

Can we stop trying to look like IG models? Can we please stop trying to find boyfriends to post up? Can we stop letting our kids watch other kids play on the screen? Can we please let IG drama stay on the phone vs in your own home? Can we stop pretending ? Can we stop making fake pages to talk about people?

I STILL LOVE IG. But take time for yourself. And give it a little break.
