MY BIG SURPRISE

Don't you just love surprises?

I LOVE THEM. I love making them for other people and receiving gifts. I am the type of person were if it comes from the heart I am rolling around on the floor in my mind of excitement.

Gifts are from the heart. The ultimate gift is the expression of love to others and yourself. It does not have to be materials it can be the simple gift of word affirmation into somebody's life.

Well . . . . let me stop stalling let me tell you about my big surprise.

You know I like telling y'all about what i'm doing. Cause I know y'all care and I just need to tell somebody. IF you

So around Christmas time me and my mom was secretly screen-shooting pictures of dogs on our pintrest. We love pintrest in my house for style, fashion, ideas and more. .. . so to communicate we always show pictures of what were thinking in our minds. So we decide to show each other what we were thinking about doing. And we see that we have both been saving dogs to our page.

We both stare at each-other for about two seconds and say LET'S DO IT!

Now you gotta know that y little brother and sister have been waiting for a dog since I can remember. My mother was always against it.

Her comments exactly :

"they are too messy"

"they smell"

"nobody is going to watch him"

"when do i even have time to take care of a dog"

"the answer is no, Morgan"

HA! So you know when she gave me the look that she was ready I searched and prayed! I actually prayed about a dog lol that was new.

so . . THE SEARCH began! Christmas Eve we went looking for places to visit our new DOG!

SPEEDING UP THE STORY TO THE SURPRISE....

My mom calls me "Morg, meet me a the dog shelter when you leave the dealership" my response "Okay, i'll call you when I leave"

She responds "What time would you be there"?

I reply "About 4:30".

So this place was far from me. . but managed to make it downtown at 4:00 but when I got down there it was traffic from each angle taking at least 20 mins to get from one side to the next. I was like okay let me call and tell her my timing will be off.

I actually don't get there until 5:30. YUP that's a whole hour and 20 minutes later! [ I need to learn my city more I always get lost] So my mother of course is pissed. I told her to go in since they closed at 6 pm. She goes in and says she didn't see anything she wanted they are all big. Plus your a hour late I have some place to be.

So I go in anyways when I arrive. I see a man walking this little black and white dog and he's the cutest little thing and exactly what I was looking for. Something in my instinct say THAT'S HIM! Then I paused like no Morgan don't be extra. . But y'all know me so I couldn't just not say nothing! I see the man again I scream "SIR!!! is that your dog"? He responds no he's up for adoption and he just came back in from a walk.

I start running for the pound and tell the lady that my dog just walked in the building I need to apply for him RIGHT NOW!

I GO TO THE BACK AND IT'S SO LOUD Y'ALL!

I start searching like were is he! An there he is in the corner by the door. He's so silent and calm he was shivering from the draft from the door and the cold. I smile at him and look at his chart to see if he's available. He had just arrived two days prior. I went to the front and grabbed a application. My mom fly's from were she was to meet him. Of course she falls in love too. And when she see's him she does the same-thing! APPLICATION NOW PLEASE.

Let me tell y'all how I actually prayed about this dog and asked for particular things that this dog posses!

WE HAVE HIM NOW HIS NAME IS JOEY!

MEET JOEY. . . .

You will hear more about him as time goes on he is only 1 years old so we have some may years ahead of us. I will do another post about looking for a dog and the process for anybody that want's to know what to look for and the process overall.
