THE DTR TALK

Seriously , I know your like morgan it's not even love day yet and your all up in febuary. But I have my reasons. Because honestly when this time comes around we have these types of conversations with the guy we like or for the guys it's the girl that you like.

Many girls right now who aren't in serious relationships dread this day. Love can sometimes feels over-rated because it's so easy to see the beauty and not the flaws. I want to help you shift your perspective of the holiday this year. YOU READY?

NOTE:I am going to ask you a lot of questions!

FRIENDS is what we all want. We can be alone but we aren't meant to be.Have you ever had that moment when you realize that your friend of many years or even months actually likes you?

Okay, so now that you get were I'm going you should be able to follow me.

When I say that God is having this conversation with us time after time again. He is showing us that he's more than a friend and he wants to be more than just a friend.

Remember when you were in highschool and you called good girlfriends and homeboy's ride or die's?

Yes this is the moment that God wants to define this "thing" yall have going on. . .

So what's in the way between you getting your relationship right with God?

The things in this human experience that distract us from a One-on-One with God.

- Past hurts

- Peer Pressure

- and unbelief

So your hurt I understand gets in the way alot of times. You wonder will he fail my heart like it's been before. You ask other questions like will he see how many scars I have.

Peer pressure is easy to dismiss in conversation but not in reality. Talking to other people about your relationship sometimes causes thoughts that were never your own. We make decisions based off of responses to dialogues with people we call friends.

And of course with unbelief it is easy to sit and doubt alone but what about the conversation you have with yourself like is this real? does he even love me? Am I worth it to him?

All these questions makes it hard for us to dive head first into this conversation with God.

When unfortunate circumstances come up for us we believe that God that did it every time and that he doesn't care about us. We actually immediately draw to atheism with our words without even knowing it.

Remember when you are being tempted do not say God is tempting me God is never tempted to do wrong and he never tempts anyone.

But God wants a deeper devotion with us he wants us. To move from admiration to devotion he wants to sit with us and have the DTR talk.

Are you going to come to me Sunday after Sunday with hurt and pain? or are you going to let him take that off your shoulders?

Are you going to make him your friend on Sunday's or all week?

Is he only your choir friend or your lifetime friend?

Watching the video you see that the friends of the main girl character was trying to help her see just how much her friend wanted to be more then friends.

I AM YOUR FRIEND! And God wants so much more from you he doesn't want to be just a friend he wants to be more then a friend. Love goes way deeper to him then you have ever experienced and if you don't have anyone to share with; you should share it with him the one who has been with you through everything!

So is your relationship exclusive? What exactly is your level of commitment? What are you willing to giving up to follow him?

So with all these questions in mind consider are you a follower or a fan? Do you want to be exclusive with God? are you going to remain a casual weekend friend? . Do you believe that he is God and that Jesus is the savior of the world? Do you believe in the one that God has sent? I f you do then prepare to be freed and walk the path of righteousness! Once you do this you won't have to worry about a valentine you would experience love everyday!
