Guys. I was in a state of complete shock when the lord instructed my mentor to have me preach! I said oh my lord. You want me to actually preach the gospel to PEOPLE!!! I was so stunned. Even though I know the Lord told me it was coming soon. As I prepared every day following the weeks to preach this message, it started as "Who told you that" then as I was literally walking out of the door to preach the lord said," Who told you to STOP building"? Now I thought he was just asking me a question, but nope! He was changing the message, here was my first preacher's lesson.
I have to set you guys up with the way the week went previously before I needed to show up to preach. My mom asked me if I wanted to go get a new outfit for preaching. I laughed because I thought to myself, who's going to see me it's virtual. It didn't matter my mom said this is the first time you will look and feel nice. I went to this boutique not far from my home and we found a very cute dress as you'll see in the video. Just a little background the church I preached at is Rehoboth Light Of The World Church this is the church that I grew up in, I did children's church and everything. This is my home. So It was an honor to be invited back. Here are my sermon notes guys.
Ezra 4:1-5 (CSB) Christian Standard Bible
When the enemies of Judah and Benjamin heard that the returned exiles[a] were building a temple for the Lord, the God of Israel, 2 they approached Zerubbabel and the family heads and said to them, “Let us build with you, for we also worship your God and have been sacrificing to him[b] since the time King Esar-haddon of Assyria brought us here.”
3 But Zerubbabel, Jeshua, and the other heads of Israel’s families answered them, “You may have no part with us in building a house for our God since we alone will build it for the Lord, the God of Israel, as King Cyrus, the king of Persia has commanded us.”4 Then the people who were already in the land[c] discouraged[d] the people of Judah and made them afraid to build. 5 They also bribed officials to act against them to frustrate their plans throughout the reign of King Cyrus of Persia and until the reign of King Darius of Persia.
